Top 5 Wrestling Moves *PINS* · Cayden Henschel

What it is

Five high-percentage pinning sequences demonstrated with setup and finish details, suitable for youth through high school wrestlers.

Why it's great

Recent pins videos tend to miss the crucial detail—how to get from control position to the actual pin. Most focus on the final turn without showing the hand placement and hip pressure that make the difference between exposing someone and actually pinning them. This addresses the full sequence from dominant position through back points to the pin.

How to use it in practice

Use this as a top-position practice segment: identify which two pins fit your wrestlers' body types and existing go-to breakdowns, then drill the transition from ride to pin setup. Have athletes work in pairs—one resists at 50% while the top man focuses on hand placement and maintaining chest pressure through the turn. Go live for 30-second rounds once they can hit the mechanics cleanly.
