Welcome to Coach Feedback ("Coach Feedback," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services (collectively, the "Services").

Our platform enables coaches to record video footage of athletes, provide feedback on performance, and share that feedback with athletes. Athletes can receive and view feedback, and optionally share highlights publicly.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use our Services.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Effective Date" of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. Personal Data You Provide

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register for an account or interact with our Services:

• Registration Information: Email address, username, password (stored using bcrypt hashing), first name, last name, and account role (coach or athlete).
• Profile Information: Avatar/profile image, bio, team affiliations, sport, and position.
• Payment Information: For coach subscriptions, payment processing is handled by RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store. We receive limited transaction information but do not store full credit card details.
• Minor User Information: For users under 18, we may collect parent/guardian contact information to verify consent.

2.2. Video and Feedback Content

• Video Content: Videos recorded through the Application or uploaded by coaches, which may include footage of athletes during practices, games, or training sessions.
• Feedback Content: Annotations, comments, voice notes, drawings, and other feedback provided by coaches on video content.
• Highlight Reels: Video clips created by athletes from their footage.

2.3. Automatically Collected Data

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform, and interactions with content.
• IP Address: Collected for security purposes, fraud prevention, and general analytics.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: Session cookies for authentication and CSRF protection. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We may use information collected about you to:

• Create and manage your user account
• Provide the video recording, storage, and feedback services
• Process subscription payments
• Send account-related notifications and communications
• Respond to customer support inquiries
• Monitor and analyze usage to improve the Services

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Within the Platform: Coaches can share video content and feedback with specific athletes. Athletes may choose to make their profiles and highlights public.
• Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Services, including: RevenueCat (subscription management), Apple App Store and Google Play Store (in-app purchases), Stripe (payment processing via RevenueCat), Cloud hosting providers (infrastructure), and Apple Push Notification Service (notifications).
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

5. Children's Privacy

5.1. Age Restriction: Coach Feedback is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, you are not permitted to create an account or use the Services.

5.2. Under 13 Users: If you are under 13 and wish to participate, please have a parent or guardian send your team invite code on your behalf. The parent or guardian's account will be used to access any content.

5.3. COPPA Compliance: We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

5.4. Parental Inquiries: If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@coachfeedback.app and we will delete the information.

5.5. Coach Responsibilities: Coaches who record video of athletes are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate permissions to do so. For athletes under 13, coaches should work with parents or guardians.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including password encryption, HTTPS/TLS encryption, secure authentication, CSRF protection, access controls, and regular security updates. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the Services at your own risk.

7. Data Retention

7.1. Active Accounts: We retain video content and personal information for as long as your account remains active. We currently retain content indefinitely for active accounts but reserve the right to modify our retention policies with reasonable notice.

7.2. Inactive Accounts: We may delete content from accounts that have been inactive for an extended period (typically two years or more) after providing reasonable notice.

7.3. Account Deletion: Upon request, we will delete your account and associated personal information, subject to any legal retention requirements. Some information may persist in backups for a limited period.

8. Your Rights

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to opt-out of sale (we do not sell data), and the right to non-discrimination.

10.1. AI Features: We may use artificial intelligence to analyze video content and provide insights. AI processing is used to enhance the coaching experience and is not used for advertising or profiling.

10.2. Anonymized Data: We may aggregate or anonymize data so that no individual can be identified. Such anonymized data may be used to improve our services and develop new features.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

12. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. By using the Services, you consent to such transfers.

13. Do Not Track

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
